Tent and Raingear Repair Kit Instructions

Always perform a practice repair before attempting the actual repair job. Make a rip or tear in the enclosed piece of vinyl, and use this for your practice repair.

Cut a piece of the cloth included in this kit slightly larger than the damaged spot. This is to be used as a backing to support the repair. Insert it into and under the rip or tear.

Apply the milky-white repair compound onto the backing fabric and under the edges of the rip or tear. Apply a thin layer into the actual slit or cut.

Cover with grain paper and allow to dry overnight.

Slowly peel off the grain paper. If more repair compound is needed due to inadequate filling, repeat the prior procedures.
